I love how wrong I was

Being wrong in public, providing value and failing forward

I love how wrong I was:

I love how wrong I was.

How confident I was in the idea the market was going to crash in 2021.

How much of a fool I look like predicting something that didn’t happen.

Yet it gives me so much power and confidence.

I’m glad I failed.

I’m glad I’ve been wrong.

You don’t learn when you’re right all the time.

You learn by being wrong.

Putting all of these wrong predictions out there is powerful for me.

Because nobody cares.

No one is really paying attention to you, especially when you come out with crazy theories.

Yet what if the market does crash and Gamestop does blast off?

I’ll still be wrong on the timing, but I might be right about the way it happens.

That’s history.

That’s something no one else has.

Yet even if that outcome never happens, I have 695 blog posts of growth in less than a year and a half.

I’ve found my life’s calling.

Writing, creating and distributing my learnings to the world.

Providing value to people whether or not they want to listen.

History will be the best judge.

Don’t worry about the short-term opinions.

Worry about the long-term impact of what you’re building.

Think about 10 years from now, possibly being one of the biggest voices in the world.

Exciting and terrifying, yet super achievable.

It will take longer than you think and be harder than you expect, but you’ll get there.

You’re creating something no one else has.

No one is building what you are.

No one has had the life experiences and been given an opportunity like you have.

So use it to provide value to people at scale and live a happy life challenging yourself while enjoying time with those closest to you.

This will only come through failure and I cannot wait to fail.

I love how wrong I was because I’m also doing a lot right.
