It feels nice to be wanted:

It feels nice to be wanted.

It feels nice to be seen.

Everyone wants that feeling.

Most people go by life never getting complimented or given praise for the work they’ve done.

People don’t say thanks enough.

We don’t give credit enough to those around us.

We often take people for granted.

Never take people for granted, especially those close to you.

You never know when everything can change.

Make sure the people around you know how much you appreciate them.

It goes a really long way.

Went to a business lunch today and it turns out it was a job interview.

It was strange because that’s the first time I’d ever been recruited, but it was such a nice feeling.

Knowing that people are watching. People are noticing your effort. They’re paying attention to what you’re doing.

No one’s watching and everyone’s watching.

That’s what creating a presence online has done.

People can see all my work. They can see what I’m trying to build, completely outside of my professional career.

People like that. It makes you different. It makes you stand-out.

No one wants to work with a robot with no personality and no hobbies.

People like interesting people.

Be interesting.

I’ve always just lived my life doing what I enjoy. It wasn’t until recently that I really stopped caring what people thought of what I was doing.

Turns out some people think I’m interesting.

To be honest I don’t care if the world thinks I’m boring. It’s not about them. It’s about me living the life I want.

People pay attention to those people.

Those that walk their own path.

They’re unique. They stand out from the crowd.

But it’s not enough to just stand out. You have to be different.

To do that, you have to authentically be you.

You cannot compromise yourself for someone else.

Don’t worry about other people’s expectations of who you’re supposed to be. That doesn’t matter. Just be who you want to be.

Be interesting.

Follow your curiosities wherever they may lead you.

Keep learning about yourself and the world.

It will be lonely. There will be a lot of moments of self-doubt and questioning if you’re on the right path or not.

Trust the process. Trust your gut. Trust your instincts, wherever that may lead you.

If you make a mistake or screw up, all good. Just reorient where you’re going.

Never make a fatal mistake or end up in prison, but don’t let mistakes hold you back from trying something new.

It’s not until you do something different do you realize how much you’re able to accomplish.

How sky high your potential is.

Today more than any other time in history we have that ability.

If you have access to a smartphone or the Internet, you can completely change your life forever.

The world’s knowledge is at your finger-tips. It’s your job to figure out what to do with that information.

With knowledge comes power but with power comes great responsibility.

So where do you start?

Wherever you want.

Just start.

Focus on what drives you. What you’re passionate about. What you love learning about.

What do you love doing that you would do for free?

If you do that thing long enough online, you’ll eventually be able to make money off it.

Painting. Drawing. Styling. Writing. Dancing. Blogging. Editing. Storytelling. Speaking.

There’s so much opportunity out there.

Take advantage of it. Don’t let it pass you by.

Go build the life you want.

Go be interesting.

Go show your gift to the world and you’ll see what it’s like to be wanted.
