I'm going to be an Olympian

Day 1742 - Jul.6.23 - I’m going to be an Olympian

Today is the first day I believe. Believe in this dream. This idea seems impossible. Become an Olympian with no background in the sport. Never shot a bow. Never done archery. And yet in LA 2023, I will make the Canadian Olympic team. I found someone who believes in me. Someone who’s willing to back me and coach me. Someone who will be next to me coaching me through the sessions. I told her the story. I told her the background. And I convinced her. For all these other people who have asked her, she’s turned them down. Yet she believes. She believes in the dream and the vision. She understands the grind and is super well-connected in the sport. She knows. With the right coaching and help, I know I can get there. Listen to the experts. Train. Again and again and again. When you want to give up, keep going. Fighting for that dream with everything you have. Everything comes secondary to the goal. Everything. I can’t wait. I can’t wait to get started and tell the world. I’m going to change it the only way I know how - my way. I’m going to be an Olympian one day. Believe that.
