Productive degenerate. That’s what I consider myself as. An adult who likes to have fun but also be productive. Work your ass off but party hard. Have fun. You only get one life. If you’re always chasing goods thinking they’ll make you happy, you’ll miss your life. Life happens today, not tomorrow. No amount of anything will make you happy if you aren’t happy already. All money does is amplify your problems, both good and bad. That’s what I heard from someone recently. A friend of mine who works at a competitive firm said ‘you are the most productive person I know’ and yet it never feels like that. I’m just trying to do a small bit every day and hope it stacks up to something. That’s it. Most days I feel like I’m failing. Like I’m letting myself down. But that’s just the devil in your head winning out. You’re doing great. More than great so stop worrying. You’ve already one. Someone who can balance fun with work is something to be proud of. Win with your friends but make sure you’re having fun along the way. Be a productive degenerate.
