Moments like this:

Moments like this.

With family.

Laughing.

Smiling.

Chatting shit.

Going at each other.

Enjoying each other’s company.

Learning.

Listening.

Talking.

Being curious.

Understanding.

These are the moments.

The ones you remember.

The times that matter.

The memories that’ll stick.

No one remembers the time they went to bed.

Or went to sleep at a reasonable time.

Or packed a night early.

No one.

Those days are infinite.

We have those all the time.

Right?

Life feels mundane.

The same.

Similar from one day to the next.

Right?

Wrong.

Every day is a new day.

Being present.

Being with who’s in front of you.

You don’t get those moments often.

Speaking uninhibited with no judgment around you.

Living your life being free to speak your mind.

Especially with family that lives abroad.

Family that lives across countries.

Across time zones.

Across continents.

Those moments are fleeting.

Few and far between.

Enjoy them.

Be there for them.

Show up.

Have fun.

Be present.

Talk to people.

Learn about them and their life.

You’re bound to them whether you want to accept it or not.

Family is forever.

You don’t choose them.

Yet they’ll always be there.

Accept them or leave them.

They can destroy you.

And they can build you.

They can push you.

They can energize you.

They are the reason you’re here.

They are you.

Whether you like it or not.

Some of us got lucky.

Others not so much.

No matter what - appreciate it.

Understand it.

Learn it.

You don’t choose this life.

You don’t choose these moments.

You don’t choose this family.

It happens.

Yet here you are.

With people you’ll see a few times in your life.

All you want is…

Moments like this.

Enjoy them.
