Day 1118 - Nov.8.21 - There’s a reason you’re repeating yourself

Keep writing, no matter how bad you think it is. You’re not worried about quality, you’re working on quantity. Producing lots of work over a long time such that some of it will be good. You’re repeating yourself a lot of the time but that’s also telling you something. Those ideas are important. Remember them. Your subconscious is trying to tell you something. Through all of the shit, some of it may be good. Some of it people may like, some they won’t. All good. Success is not about the number of people on a newsletter or views. It’s about a significant chunk of work put out over a long time. You will never hit on everything you do. You will fail. It could come soon or it could come later but everyone will have a major life failure. Mine was when I didn’t get into residency. This dream of becoming a doctor disappeared and shifted elsewhere. One failure is another opportunity. You don’t know where you’ll end up and have to get lucky, but you can control the effort you put forward. Your time is all you’ve got. So what are you going to use it for? For me, it’s working on being a better person and creating so that others can learn and participate in your upside. Outcomes are irrelevant, focus on the work.
