Wait and see. That’s how most things in life should be. You can’t predict the future and no one else can either. You can make educated guesses based on historical evidence but what if that evidence is wrong? It usually is more times than you think. Look at this year. From the outside, complete disaster. And yet I’ve never had the chance to spend this much time with family. When you were in Montreal or Amsterdam, could you envision this? No way. Bill Gates did but he only predicted that an outbreak was inevitable, not when it would happen. So just wait and see how it plays out. Take advantage of opportunities when they come up and never stop learning. You also have to take asymmetric upside bets because that’s the only way you’re going to get lucky enough to live your dreams. It’s ok to be wrong. You make decisions that don’t go your way all the time. Think, reflect and learn from them. Don’t make the same mistakes again but don’t be afraid of making them. Be bold but be patient. Let life happen as it will and seize it.
