People can’t talk anymore:

People can’t talk anymore.

They can’t sit.

Undistracted by their cell phone.

Or other forms of technology.

We don’t listen.

We don’t follow-up.

We aren’t genuinely interested.

We’re too in our head.

Distracted.

Jittery.

Anxious.

People don’t show interest.

They’re too selfish.

They don’t ask follow-up questions.

They aren’t genuinely curious about other people.

Don’t be like that.

Please.

Be interested in others.

Stop looking at your phone when talking to people.

Ask follow-ups.

Be interested in them and who they are.

I hate it.

Happens with my brother now.

Buddy’s never interested.

Never asks follow-ups.

Always distracted by his phone.

Always somewhere else.

Never in the present moment.

Never interested in people.

It’s sad.

I hope that changes.

Not for him.

But for you.

Learn how to talk to people.

‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’ is the best for it - my notes are here.

It will genuinely change your life.

Warren Buffet said the public speaking course put on by Dale Carnegie, the same author was the best investment he’s ever made.

Made him more confident and friendly.

That book will do the same for you.

Soft skills will win in an AI world.

Being distracted, passive and not interested in other people will not.

Please, for your sake.

Be interested in others.
