Shock your body:

Shock your body.

Shock your system.

Sometimes you need to get out of your routine.

Do something different.

Challenge yourself in a unique way.

Do something uncomfortable.

Went to a HIIT Pilates class in a sauna today.

A HIIT class in the same room they do hot yoga.

It was an hour class and I felt like dying.

Thought I was going to pass out multiple times.

I somehow got through it and felt incredible after.

Felt so accomplished.

Even though I’ve done hot yoga and trained with HIIT for a long time, this felt different.

It was brutal.

It was never-ending.

It was a shock.

But I got through it.

Showed up.

Tried.

That’s all you can do.

Tried a cold plunge for the first time a few weeks back and had the same feeling.

It was ice cold. 

Lasted for 2 minutes and my body was screaming to get out.

Again, it was hard.

But that’s the point.

You only learn by challenging yourself.

By doing something new.

By stepping outside of your comfort zone.

By pushing yourself in a way you hadn’t thought of.

Too often we get stuck.

Stuck in our routine.

Stuck in our relationships.

Stuck in our life.

The only way to break that is to do something different.

Try a new coffee shop.

Go to a new part of your city.

Start a new class you’ve never before.

We need people to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

That’s where a fulfilled life happens.

You only get that by shocking your body.
