The criticism will always exist:

The criticism will always exist.

You’ll always be judged.

The more successful you are, the more people will talk.

They don’t know you.

But it doesn’t matter.

They’ll judge you for what they see.

They’ll laugh at you and make fun of you.

No matter what, keep going.

Keep doing you.

Keep being the guy that defies the odds and does something different.

We’re all judging.

We’re all looking at someone else to hide our own problems.

We’re all judging people all the time thinking that we know what’s best for them.

Went on a pub crawl today with my brother and part of the whole conversation was him criticizing me for my outfits.

Him telling me I need to buy clothes because what I wear isn’t good enough.

Are you kidding me?

He made me feel like crap.

Like I should be doing more.

Like I should be buying hundred-dollar clothes to ‘improve my style.’

Fuck what you think of my style.

I’m gonna do me.

I’m not going to conform to what you want me to do.

I refuse to go along with everyone else.

I appreciate the feedback and advice, but I will not conform.

I will be me.

My brother said ‘you wear too many colours. Wear more neutral colours.’

Yea b.

That’s the point.

I’m my own dude.

I work with what I got.

But you gotta listen.

The people closest to you will keep you honest.

It may feel negative but it’s all love.

They care.

That’s why they’re so interested.

They’re trying to help, in their minds.

Whether you believe them or not.

They’re trying to look out for you in their own way.

Does that mean you should always listen to what they say?

No.

Live your life.

Make your own choices.

Be comfortable with the decisions you’re making.

Everything else is out of your control.

The criticism will always exist but your effort is in your control.

Do your thing.
