Time to become a beast

Being great, spending time alone and the cost of excellence

Time to become a beast:

Time to become a beast.

A machine.

A warrior.

An animal.

Someone who is unrecognizable.

A cut above the rest.

The one who excels.

Excels in all he puts his mind to.

Benjamin Franklin.

Leonardo Davinci.

Michael Jackson.

Jesse Itzler.

Jamie Foxx.

Felix Sommar.

Was about to be Kobe before he died.

Excellence in multiple domains.

Not just one.

But many.

I’ve conquered a lot.

Still a lot left to go.

Because excellence doesn’t stop.

It lies dormant.

Hidden.

Waiting to come out.

It looks for opportunity.

Opportunity to be great.

Then goes all in.

Commits.

Works.

Fails.

Tries again.

And again.

Doesn’t quit.

Doesn’t stop.

Keeps pushing.

Even when it feels like the world is against him.

He focuses on execution.

Not talking.

Results.

Not wasting time.

For the man who wants to be excellent knows.

We have limited time.

We all get the same 24 hours in a day.

But how hard are you willing to work?

How far are you willing to go?

How many risks are you willing to make?

You must leave the nest.

Step outside your comfort zone.

Go beyond what you believe is possible.

For you slowly realize.

Most people never dare to try.

They’re too scared.

Too caught up in their own bullshit.

Too worried about what other people will think of them.

When no one thinks of you in the first place.

The greats.

They don’t care.

The world can hate them.

It will hate them.

People hate greatness.

They have a problem with it.

It doesn’t conform.

It’s not average.

It doesn’t follow the rules.

Or fit in a box.

It’s weird.

It’s different.

It’s aggressive.

It’s not something people are comfortable with.

Good.

That’s the point.

Greatness is reserved for the few.

Those who dare.

Who dare to try.

Who dare to fail.

Who dare to keep getting up when the world keeps kicking them down.

For one day.

The greatness will show.

People will understand.

Often only when that person is not here.

People don’t appreciate what’s in front of them until it’s gone.

Then they reminisce about what they got to witness.

They saw the results.

But they didn’t see the work.

Only the person did.

The individual.

Many hours.

Alone.

Just them.

No one else.

No one else battling their demons.

No one else in their mind.

Just them.

Them and their work.

I want to be great.

I’ve achieved some greatness.

But still have a long way to go.

Written 1200 blog posts.

Written multiple books.

Read another 350.

Ran multiple marathons.

Lived in multiple continents.

Become an Ironman.

Got a medical degree.

And yet this is just the start.

I’ve just begun.

The next decade will show the world.

Watch out.

I spent my 20s working.

Grinding.

Building.

Creating.

The next decade is to show the world.

Here’s who I am.

Here’s what I’ve done.

Here’s what I’ve created.

But it’s not just one domain.

It’s across many.

To be the best in everything I do.

That’s the goal.

Always learning.

Always pushing.

Always trying.

Trying to be the best.

Trying to be great.

Trying to be a beast.

Time to show the world I’m a beast.
