Add them to the list

Keeping a list of haters and using it as fuel

Add them to the list:

Add them to the list.

The list of non-believers.

Keep a list, either in your head or written down, of people who didn’t believe in you.

Those who told you your dreams are bullshit.

Those who put you down.

Those who told you you’ll never amount to anything.

Remember when anyone says that about you.

The best in the world know how valuable haters can be.

Jordan kept a list.

Kobe did.

Brady does.

Lebron does.

Shit every big-time athlete that’s made it has a list.

I remember hearing a lot about that during NBA draft nights.

When great players would fall in the draft, they would remember the name and team of every player than went before them.

They used that as fuel.

Fuel to show up and work.

To bust their ass working on their craft when no one was around them.

A lot of people don’t believe me.

I’ve had multiple people in my life over the last little while tell me they don’t believe what I’m building.

They don’t believe I can build a media business.

To be fair, they’re not wrong so far.

I haven’t done anything.

But I’ve never forgotten.

I’ll never forget the people who didn’t believe in me.

First it was my dad telling me I’d never get into an international school after dropping out of IB.

Then it was an Asian kid in grade 12 who called me fat and dumb.

Then it was my dad again who told me I shouldn’t leave medicine.

Then it was a friend who told me becoming a creator is a mistake.

Then it was a big-time social media manager telling me my ideas were crap.

They’re all on the list.

Create your own.

Who doesn’t believe in you?

Remember them.

Whenever you’re feeling down, remember the list.
