Expect them to come for you. Expect people to silence you. Expect people to take what you say out of context and twist it into whatever clickbait headline they want. Expect to be canceled. Expect the mob to come after you. When you challenge those in power, expect not to miss. Everything you do will be watched. Everything you do will be judged. Every move you make will be studied. All good, bring it. You cannot be afraid to tell your truth. I know how lucky I am to live in a country that allows free speech. It’s such a privilege that many people around the world don’t get. When you have that privilege, use it. Use it to do better in the world. Use it for a purpose greater than yourself in service of other people. Don’t let the noise get to you. Continue to do your work. Continue to get better as a person and refine your process. This is all practice. If people pay attention and judge you for the early part of your career, all the better. It means you have something to say. It means your voice matters. Your opinion matters. You’re a smart guy who’s lived a great life so use it to change the world.
