Jul.3.24 - Day 2103 - You will pick up haters along the way

You have to accept that you won’t be liked. You can’t. If you want to do the things you want to do, you will pick up lots of haters along the way. Even more as you get more popular. Don’t mind them. It means you’re doing something right. Challenging a belief or opinion that they had that they’re forced to confront. Good. That’s healthy. The world needs more thoughtful disagreement. More people on opposite sides debating. Not letting their ego get the best of them and properly try to understand the other side. Impossible these days. Be someone who will talk to anyone. Go seek to understand them and their view point. To do that you will have to disagree with a lot of people. If they choose to hate you based on your viewpoint, let it be. You cannot please everyone. You should not. That is antithetical to who you are and what you stand for. Doesn’t mean I’ll be right and I will get things wrong, but at least i’m in the arena trying. I’m in the arena bringing up uncomfortable subjects the world feels like it’s not talking about. Be that voice that speaks for those who are tired. Those who are fed up from the current system. Speak your mind and find your voice. Haters along the way are the price of success.
