Pay your people:

Pay your people.

Pay them properly.

Pay them what they’re worth.

Especially your high performers.

If someone is outperforming their role, DO NOT underpay them.

Doesn’t matter what you tell them.

Doesn’t matter how great you say they are.

If you don’t pay them properly, they will leave.

The best ones will.

Some people just stick around.

Accept what they’re given and not ask questions.

The high performers - they’re gone.

Why stick around for someone who doesn’t believe in you?

Why stick around for someone that shows you through their actions what they think of you?

Why stick around for someone who tells you one thing and shows you something else?

It’s not worth it.

Fight for yourself.

Fight for what you believe in.

Fight for what is fair.

Have evidence to back it up.

Use market data.

But do not be afraid to fight.

To confront management.

To confront the people who make decisions for you.

Stop busting your ass for them.

Stop going out of your way.

Stop doing your best if they’re not going to pay you like it.

Why work for someone who doesn’t believe in your worth?

Why work for someone who is chronically underpaying you?

It’s not worth it.

Employers - pay your people.

If you don’t, your companies will fail.

People will leave.

You won’t recruit talent.

You won’t retain talent.

You will die.

Pay your people.
